Passport
Valid passport for French, Belgian or Swiss nationals. For other nationalities, we are at your disposal to assist you in your procedures.
In order to deal with any eventuality, make sure you have a passport with the required or sufficient number of blank pages (generally 3, including 2 opposite).
Emergency passport. As this document is not accepted everywhere, it will be necessary to ensure, before making a possible request, that it is recognized by the country concerned by the trip; we will also check whether it involves a visa application (which may be the case even for countries where it is exempted with an ordinary passport).
If you are traveling with your children, be aware that, from now on, minors, regardless of their age, must also have an individual passport. French law stipulates that minors traveling with both parents, or only one of the two, do not need to be in possession of an exit permit. However, this document is mandatory (since January 15, 2017) if this support condition is not met. In the latter case, the child must present: passport (or identity card, depending on the requirements of the country of destination); the exit authorization form, signed by one of the parents with parental authority (the exit authorization form is available on the website www.service-public.fr); a photocopy of the identity document of the signing parent.
When a minor travels with one of his parents whose name he does not bear, it is strongly recommended either to be able to prove parentage (https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F15392), either to present an authorization to leave the territory (Cerfa form n ° 15646 * 01) duly completed and signed by the other parent with a copy of their identity document. This authorization does not exempt from the completion of any other formality specific to the destination concerning minors.
New security measures have come into force at airports: electronic devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) must be charged and in working order for all flights going to or passing through the United States and London. Control officers must be able to turn them on. As a precaution, have your charger handy. If your device is discharged or defective, it will be confiscated. As this measure may be extended to other airports, we advise you to charge your electronic devices before the flight regardless of your destination.
Driving license: to avoid any inconvenience, it may be useful, even for non-European countries officially recognizing the validity of the French license on their territory, to also obtain an international driving license or, failing that, a sworn translation of the French license.
Visa
Stay of less than 90 days: visa exemption for French, Belgian or Swiss nationals. For other nationalities, we are at your disposal to assist you in your procedures.
