The current rules for crossing the Ukrainian border are governed by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 9, 2020 (No. 1236), supplemented by the latest amendments of July 28, 2021 (Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 787).
From 5 August 2021, all foreigners , including holders of a temporary residence permit and stateless persons, regardless of their age and country of origin, must present the following documents & nbsp; in order to enter Ukraine:
- an insurance policy (certificate) issued by an insurance company registered in Ukraine or a foreign insurance company with a representative office in Ukraine or a contractual relationship with the partner insurance company on the territory of Ukraine (assistance), which covers the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19 and is valid for the entire period of stay in Ukraine
- a document confirming receipt of a full series of COVID-19 vaccinations with WHO-approved vaccines: Pfizer / BioNTech, Janssen de Johnson & amp; Johnson, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca / Covishield (India), AstraZeneca / SKBio (South Korea), Moderna / Spikevax, Sinopharm, CoronaVac (Sinovac) – it can be an international, national or foreign vaccination certificate; or
- a negative result of the rapid test for the detection of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (RAT, Ag), carried out no later than 72 hours before entry; or
- a negative result of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for COVID-19, carried out no later than 72 hours before entering Ukrainian territory.
Attention : Certificates of recovery and certificates of antibodies to COVID-19 are not accepted for entry into Ukrainian territory.
Any foreigner (other than the categories of foreigners defined in the exceptions below) who will not present a vaccination certificate upon arrival must install the application ” Vdoma ” and undertake to begin self-isolation 72 hours after entering Ukrainian territory. During this period, the person can either leave the country (without having to undergo additional tests), or undergo a PCR test or perform an antigen test. In the event of a negative result, self-isolation will not be necessary.)
